The chef

His menu has ceviches and tiraditos, wok-tossed saltados, arroz chaufa and pulpo anticuchero, grilled and served with anticucho sauce.

Some dishes are criollo, like lomo saltado, and some are nikkei, the Peruvian cooking with Japanese roots, like the tuna nikkei tiradito.

The room

By day, light comes in through the street windows. There are wicker lamps, plants on the sills and on a wall shelf, white tables for two and four and, at the back, the pisco bottles and a red and yellow Peruvian textile.

A table for two by the window, with a street tree outside.
A pale wall with a shelf of trailing plants above set tables, between two wicker lamps.
The street window at night, with a toy llama, a plant and hanging pompoms, behind a set table.
