What happens to the details you type into the booking form of this demo, and who to ask.
This is a demo
This site is an unofficial demo, made by Henrique Carrageis to show Sinchi what its own site could look like. Bookings are simulated: they do not reach the restaurant and nobody at Sinchi sees them.
Who handles the data
While the site is a demo, the person responsible for the data is Henrique Carrageis ([email protected]).
If Sinchi adopts the site, the company that runs the restaurant becomes responsible. Legal name and tax number: to be confirmed with the restaurant.
What is kept, and why
- Name: to know whose table it is.
- Mobile: to reach you if there is a problem with the table, and to limit active bookings per number.
- Email, if you give one: to send the confirmation. The demo sends nothing.
- Day, time and number of people: the booking itself.
- Allergies or requests: whatever you want the kitchen and the dining room to know, as you wrote it.
- Record of your consent: the text you accepted, its version, and the date and time, to prove what was agreed.
- IP address: to stop mass requests and fake bookings. It stays only in the server's memory, for one hour at most, and is not stored with the booking.
Legal basis
- The booking: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR, Article 6(1)(b)).
- The box you tick: consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
- The IP address: legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Article 6(1)(f)).
How long
In the demo, each booking and its consent record are deleted 48 hours after they are made. Once the site is in use, Sinchi decides the period and it will be written here.
Who else sees the data
Nobody. The data is not sold or shared. The site has no advertising and no third-party analytics, and the fonts and icons come from this same server.
Cookies
The public site uses no cookies. The only cookie belongs to the team area, to keep the session of whoever manages the bookings.
What you can ask for
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a reusable format. Write to [email protected].
If you think your data was mishandled, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados) at www.cnpd.pt (opens in a new window).
